Unboxing the Nokia G50, a budget Android smartphone from HMD boasting a massive 6.82-inch IPS screen, 5G connectivity and a stock UI with guaranteed updates. This hands-on review covers the gaming prowess, specs, camera features and software of the Nokia G50, stick around for an in-depth verdict soon!
This is one of the more affordable 5G phones here in the UK, and a solid option if you want a launcher-free Android experience with guaranteed OS updates. The specification isn't quite as strong as some budget rivals, sure. There's no 90Hz support for that mighty display, which is also an HD+ rather than FHD+ panel. And the Snapdragon 480 chipset means performance is rather limited, although the Nokia G50 can certainly handle everyday shenanigans. Gamers will want to look elsewhere for more grunt, but this mobile can manage PubG and CodM in a pinch.
That 48MP camera seems fine for simple photos and home movies, despite the lack of 4K video action. And you have all of the usual features including NFC, a headphone jack and expandable storage via microSD.
