Waymo To Launch Robotaxi Service In Los Angeles | Tech Crunch

WAYMO TO LAUNCH ROBOTAXI SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES

In the movie Collateral, assassin Vincent (played by Tom Cruise) takes hostage a Los Angeles taxi driver, Max (Jamie Foxx), and forces him to drive him from hit to hit. If Max tries anything funny, well, you can guess what might happen. Waymo, an Alphabet company, has a goal to make that movie a true relic of the past (as if Lyft and Uber hadn't already) by deploying driverless robotaxis in L.A. in the near future. We'd like to see Tom Cruise try and take hostage one of those! Tech Crunch

Introducing The Anti-Shampoo: Geologie's New Co-Wash Is The Boost Your Hair Needs | [Partner]

INTRODUCING THE ANTI-SHAMPOO: GEOLOGIE'S NEW CO-WASH IS THE BOOST YOUR HAIR NEEDS

The days of washing your hair with a huge lather and tons of suds are over. We were all taught more lather = clean, which is false. A huge lather typically means you're scrubbing in harsh chemicals loaded with sulfates that are stripping your scalp of natural oils, creating frizz, dryness, and breakage. That's the Geologie Co-Wash comes in. This co-wash gets right to the "root" of the problem, by really focusing on cleansing and nourishing one's scalp. This amazing hair-washing product is formulated with intention, gets the job done, and is effective in giving you the shiny, frizz-free, manageable hair you want. Save up to 50% on Geologie's line of skincare with code FUTURIST50. [Partner]

Watch Out Models, The AI Revolution Is Coming For Your Jobs Too | Digital Trends

WATCH OUT MODELS, THE AI REVOLUTION IS COMING FOR YOUR JOBS TOO

Now, for a different, lesser-known, lesser-loved movie — the 2002 Al Pacino vehicle, S1M0NE (Simone, if you couldn't guess). A movie in which a desparate producer has a graphics artist construct a completely fabricated female actor, named Simone. Now, that reality is coming nearer and nearer but unlike the movie, no one is trying to hide the fact that one day soon, models and actors can (and for a lot of big budget pictures, will) be completely designed and operated by AI. Scientists Deny Making Deadly Horror COVID In A Lab | Neoscope

SCIENTISTS DENY MAKING DEADLY HORROR COVID IN A LAB

Researchers at Boston University have publicly denied that they have developed a hyper-deadly COVID‑19 strain in their labs — and are insisting that they actually made a hybrid version that's less deadly than previous ones. Over the past week, a pre-print study out of BU's National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL), which sought to detail the differences between the original COVID strain that circulated early in the pandemic and the Omicron strain, unleashed a media frenzy. Order The Misfits, Reduce Food Waste

ORDER THE MISFITS, REDUCE FOOD WASTE

Did you know that nearly one-third of what gets grown in the U.S. doesn't make it to the grocery store? Because of superficial issues like if the fruit or veggie is the wrong size (too big, too small) or it is just plain ol' funny-looking, tons of produce is going to waste. That's where Misfits Market comes in. They're a food delivery service (and yes, their packaging is eco-friendly) that works directly with farms around the country to rescue the food that would have otherwise gone to waste and deliver them right to your door. The produce is always certified organic and you can even add in additions like meat, seafood, dairy, and pantry items, lessening your need to overpay at a grocery store. Best part: You can skip or pause your deliveries at any time, meaning you don't have to worry about food going to waste if you're heading out of town or just don't need the box that week. Use the code WELCOME30 for up to 30% off your first box from Misfits Market.

NASA's Webb Takes Star-Filled Portrait Of Pillars Of Creation |

NASA'S WEBB TAKES STAR-FILLED PORTRAIT OF PILLARS OF CREATION

The Pillars of Creation are ever-changing spires and arches of gas and dust, a region where young stars are formed and burst forth from their cosmic cocoon, not unlike the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Luckily for everyone, the James Webb telescope has captured a mind-blowing updated image of the pillars for all to see.  NASA
