Microsoft Announces Copilot: The AI-Powered Future Of Office Documents | The Verge

Microsoft has launched Copilot, an AI-powered chatbot designed to help Microsoft 365 users generate documents, emails, presentations and more, according to The Verge. Copilot appears as a sidebar in Microsoft's apps and is powered by GPT-4 from OpenAI. It uses Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and can generate AI-generated text that can be edited, as well as perform tasks such as summarising meetings, creating PivotTables and producing draft emails. Currently being tested with 20 customers, Copilot uses grounding to improve the quality of prompts, checks for limitations and biases, and encourages review by subject-matter experts.
