Scans That Are 64 Million Times Clearer Give A New Look At The Brain | New Atlas

SCANS THAT ARE 64 MILLION TIMES CLEARER GIVE A NEW LOOK AT THE BRAIN

Scientists, using a powerful 9.4-Tesla magnet, have produced MRI visuals 64 million times sharper than current technology offers — 100 times stronger than standard scans — with a super-computer equivalent to 800 laptops to produce an unprecedentedly detailed image of a single mouse brain, according to New Atlas. This level of detailed imaging is expected to enable a greater understanding of how brains change with age, diet, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.

What if we told you there was a product that made it easy to get your ounces in for the day, made it tasty, and, dare we say, made it fun? Electricity Can Heal Even The Worst Kind Of Wounds Three Times Faster, New Study Finds | Interesting Engineering

Chronic wounds are a major societal problem that affects around 2.5% of Americans, making patients vulnerable to infections and sometimes leading to amputations. Researchers from Chalmers Insitute of Technology and the University of Freiburg have developed a technique to heal chronic wounds three times faster using electric currents, according to Interesting Engineering. The electric stimulation method proposed by the researchers is based on a well-known hypothesis that human skin is electrostatic, and the cells of our skin are sensitive to electric current.
