Reviewing Dell's Alienware M15 R6 gaming laptop, boasting 11th-Gen Intel specs, an RTX 30 series GPU and up to 360Hz refresh display. Certainly some of the best specs of any 2021 gamer notebook, especially this top-end SKU which costs almost £3000! But is the Alienware M15 R6 worth that cash? Here's my thoughts after a week of testing and benchmarking.
This pimped-out model sports a Core i7 11800H processor backed by 32GB of RAM, plus an RTX 3080 so you can run any PC game on top detail settings. That 360FPS support means a super-smooth frame rate where supported, although on maxed settings on Forza, Doom Eternal etc the Alienware M15 didn't come close to that max rate.
From the premium keyboard with stainless steel switches to the comprehensive ports and the effective cooling system, Dell has outdone itself on design. This is certainly one of the best crafted gaming laptops of 2021, if you've got the cash for it.
