EXOMOONS ORBITING ROGUE PLANETS IN DEEP SPACE MAY HARBOR ALIEN LIFE

Moons orbiting rogue planets, which have broken free of their host star and are roaming deep space, could be a candidate for alien life, according to a new study by the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, reports Interesting Engineering. No exomoons have been directly detected, but scientists believe they are abundant throughout the universe. The researchers found that exomoons with tight orbits around FFPs have a reasonable chance of supporting life, particularly earth-sized moons with Venus-like atmospheres.

CLEARVIEW AI USED NEARLY 1 MILLION TIMES BY U.S. POLICE

Clearview AI, a facial recognition firm, has conducted almost one million searches for US police, according to founder Hoan Ton-That (as reported by the BBC). The company has 30 billion images in its database, harvested from social media platforms without user permission, and faces accusations of widespread breaches of privacy. Although banned from selling its services to most US companies, Clearview AI is permitted to work with law enforcement agencies, leading to concerns of a "perpetual police line-up".
