Per Bloomberg, the study, which tracked generative AI usage with over 5,000 customer support agents, indicated that novice and low-skilled workers benefited most due to AI being able to absorb and distribute tacit knowledge used by top performers. Meanwhile, highly skilled employees, who were already delivering high-quality responses, saw limited or no benefit from AI prompting technologies.
