Grimes — electronic music artist and mother of X Æ A-12 — has invited all musicians to clone her voice using AI for their songs, offering them the deal she offers any artist she collaborates with: a 50/50 split of royalties, reports the BBC. The invitation comes as the music industry reacts to a spate of AI songs trained on artists' voices, with Universal Music successfully petitioning streaming services to remove a song called "Heart On My Sleeve," which sounds like it features Drake and The Weeknd but, in fact, doesn't. Grimes has been long enamored with AI and its ethics and hopes to be a "guinea pig" for the technology, even going as far as to say all artists be replaced by AI.

M.I.T. engineers have developed a two-component system that can be injected into the body to help form blood clots at sites of internal injury, according to SciTechDaily. By introducing two complementary systems in sequence it is possible to get a much stronger clot, reports senior author Paula Hammond. The researchers designed the system with a nanoparticle that recruits platelets and a polymer that mimics fibrinogen.

Researchers at fertilization startup Overture Life have developed an IVF robot that they hope will pave the way to making IVF cheaper and more common. The robot, which is operated using a PlayStation 5 controller, has been used to fertilize more than a dozen eggs and create healthy embryos, actually resulting in the successful births of two baby girls, per M.I.T. Technology Review. While there are many fertilization startups out there, Overture Life has raised the most money of them all, with $37 million from investors including Khosla Ventures and Susan Wojcicki, the former YouTube CEO/tech pioneer.
