No, your Amazon account wasn't 'hacked' | PCMag

“A rumor is circulating on social media that Amazon accounts have been hacked, with hackers adding additional addresses to users' accounts for Amazon Hub lockers. The rumor isn’t true. While you might see new Hub locations in your Amazon account, they weren’t put there by hackers; they were added by Amazon. … During the holiday season, when package theft is rampant, having packages sent to an Amazon locker is often safer than having your orders delivered to your home address, where they might sit on your porch and be accessible to thieves.”

Enhancing optical data storage capacity in diamonds | Tech Explorist

“Wide-bandgap semiconductor color centers have metastable charge states amenable to interconversion at specific wavelengths under optical stimulation. Optical diffraction has thus far limited the memory capacity of these systems, even though the unique fluorescence and spin characteristics in each of these states have been used to demonstrate the storage of classical information in three dimensions. A method physicists at The City College of New York have created could improve diamonds’ optical data storage capacity. Multiplexing the storage in the spectral domain makes this feasible.”

Elon Musk's Grok AI turns on its creator, completely trashes Elon | The Byte

“Elon Musk's right-leaning fanboys are already in a huff because the billionaire's new AI, Grok, has been paying lip service to progressive causes like transgender rights and Musk's nemesis Joe Biden. But what's likely to really annoy the thin-skinned entrepreneur? It turns out that the sassy-mouthed Grok absolutely excels at roasting its creator.”

The answer: Almost 35 years from the date it was launched

The answer: Almost 35 years from the date it was launched

According to Space.com: “After streaking through space for nearly 35 years, NASA's robotic Voyager 1 probe finally left the solar system in August 2012, a study published on Sept. 12, 2013 in the journal Science reports. ‘Voyager has boldly gone where no probe has gone before, marking one of the most significant technological achievements in the annals of the history of science, and as it enters interstellar space, it adds a new chapter in human scientific dreams and endeavors,’ NASA science chief John Grunsfeld said in a statement.”
